STATUS of the IARCThe International Amateur Radio Club (IARC) was created on 5th May1962 under the auspices of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the Secretary-General of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) The amateur radio station 4U1ITU is maintained by the IARC for the use and benefit of club members and the other licensed radio amateurs duly authorised to operate from the station. This station is intended to serve as a model of amateur radio operation at its highest standard.4U1ITU amateur radio station is located in Geneva, Switzerland and operated in accordance with privileges extended by the Government of Switzerland and the ITU.
